Red Sea War

The Red Sea is a vital shipping lane, with a significant amount of oil and goods passing through it. The Houthi rebels have been launching attacks using anti-ship missiles and drones, causing concern for global trade. The US Navy has deployed its destroyers to intercept these attacks. The former admiral thinks effective intelligence gathering will be the deciding factor. There is speculation about the offensive role of the mission and the possible involvement of UAE. It is also suggested that the Houthi attacks could be a probe for future Iranian attacks and that the attacks may impact oil prices and influence Western pressure on Israel’s campaign in Gaza. The Houthi rebels are backed by Iran, and the attacks have raised questions about the decision to remove them from the foreign terrorist organization list.
